HODGE PODGE!

July 19th

It is that time of year again, time to enjoy a traditional Hodge Podge. For those of you who are not familiar with this dish.....
New Potatoes, New Carrots, Yellow and Green Beans and New peas (Your choice, sugar/shell/snow) All are boiled in water until just tender. The water is drained off and butter and a dairy product (blend cream, heavy cream, milk, canned milk) is added. This is returned to the stove to simmer for a little while longer. It is often served as a meal unto itself but can be used as a side dish. Many people believe that it is better the second day. There are many variations to the recipe and as one friend said " I've never had a bad Hodge Podge, just some were better than others"
We have all the ingredients needed to cook a Hodge Podge and are once again offering baskets that have enough veggies to serve 2 people for $6.00.

This leads to our next INTERNET special.... Tell us you have read this post and receive your hodge podge basket for only $5.00! Good for one basket only and offer valid until July 25th.
